New Direction

I've decided to change the direction of this blog. I really wanted to post at least 1 picture a day, a good picture; however, to be honest, some days I just don't have the inspiration.

I've decided that I still want to post on here as much as possible, surely 3-4 times per week, but I don't want to be forced to take a picture at 10:00pm just to make sure that I check this off of my list. I want to take and post pictures because I love what I am taking pictures of.

I noticed this picture while I was uploading pics for my food blog (www.mealsforreal.blogspot.com). I loved the colors and the clarity of this picture. This is the first one that I am somewhat "proud" of.

Our next door neighbor, Emily, was over and was putting on a "Fashion Show" with Gracie. This was the last outfit that she put on and she was hamming it up for the camera. Of course, Bubba, Kanin, had to jump in the mix.

I Know A Secret

I went to the Working Women's Show today and there was a travel agent there giving away a Disney World basket. Since our first family vacation to Disney World in September 2008, I have been obsessed with going back again. Well, I think we are going to go back again this September. I am already starting to plan it and I am really excited.

Friends Are Forever

I could not decide between these 2 pics of my Sweet Baby Caleb. Right now it seems as if everything goes straight into this mouth. He has 3 teeth already and he is only 7 months old so I had to post a pic of his fingers in his mouth.

Of course, most importantly, is what we like to call his "Friend" or "Snuggie". This little stuffed animal has given Caleb so many sleep-filled moments, comfort when in times of need and a lot of security and love.

(Not sure of the F or Speed on either of these but the ISO is on the Lo0.3. I'm just getting started on using the actual controls and not the pres-set ones. )

(Not the best pic because it is really dark in the back. I kept it, though, because this is what Caleb spends most of his time doing).

Can I Stop Smiling Now?

This is my 6 year old son, Kanin. Can you tell that he has posed for pictures a few times for me? I kept telling him that he didn't have to smile but he insisted. Love the pretzel coming out of his mouth.

I saw a blog on momslikeme.com that got me thinking about taking more pictures (like I need a reason). You can check it out at Your Life Storybook.

I created this new blog so that I could have a place to post some pictures and to improve my camera skills. My goal is to take at least 1 picture a day that I am happy with . . . it may take me a while to reach this goal.

I will be shooting with my new Nikon D5000 factory 18-55mm lense, until I can upgrade.

If you have any suggestions, PLEASE help me! I am not trying to become a professional photographer, I only want to take better pictures of my kiddos.
